Emil ‘Ziggy’ Kucy
May 27, 1928 - June 3rd, 2025
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Emil ‘Ziggy’ Kucy who passed away peacefully at the age of 97 on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025 at Westhills Care Centre in St. Catharines, Ontario. The family would like thank the wonderful staff at Westhills for their great care and compassion of our loved one.
He was a devoted & loving husband to Velma Kucy (Alward) and his children Roger Kucy (Myriam Quattrini), Rodney Kucy, Janice Coleman(nee:Kucy) He loved & cherished spending time with his grand children (Blake Kucy (Danielle), Kirstin Kucy, Ashley Kucy-Guay (Jeromy), Ryan(Maria), Andrew, Jessica, Amanda Quattrini & great grandchildren Matti & Kinsley Guay, PJ, Elora, Gabrielle & Ari Quattrini.
He always enjoyed his time with many family members and great friends. As well as being retired from The Welland Tubes (Stelco) after 35years of service, his passion and talent was that of music playing in many orchestras throughout the Niagara region. He was loved by all who came in contact with him… he had a kind soul.
As per his wishes, there will be no funeral. The family will celebrate is life in private. Anyone who wishes to make a donation in his name can make it to Community Living Welland/Pelham or The Niagara SPCA.
