Memere, I am so honoured and proud to be your granddaughter. Thank you for the bedtime stories, quarters so I could walk up to dairy queen for a treat, games of aggrevation, gingersnaps and delicious canned beets. I will always cherish the memories of over 45 years Christmas Eve's of family fun, food and sing-a-longs at your house. I miss you so much already. May you rest in peace. Xxoo Shelly

One of my favorite childhood memories were our annual family visits to Auntie Theresa’s and Uncle Rene’s. Auntie Theresa would be standing in the widow of the screen door, patiently awaiting our arrival. We would barely be in the driveway and out of the car, and we were greeted with smiles, hugs and kisses, and a table full of food to greet us. I always enjoyed the visits, the laughs, the stories, and spending time with cousins we had not seen in a long time. As we grew older, the visits became less frequent. I had the chance to visit one last time during the summer of 2022, as we drove into the driveway, the greeting was still the same as I always remembered. Our visit was a short one, but I enjoyed every single minute of that visit and will cherish it, and the memories I have forever. I was truly blessed to have had such an incredible aunt. Rest easy Auntie Theresa, until we meet again ❤️

My dearest great grandmother, having you in my life was one of the most wonderful experiences I will ever experience. I will be forever grateful that I had you by my side, physically and mentally, for as long as I did. I remember tearing up your backyard trying to make snow angels in the middle of summer when I was younger, staying up late with you reading the newspapers, watching your soap operas, and all of our phone calls when we couldn’t be together in person. Whenever I watch my wedding video, my eyes are always drawn to your beauty, your reaction to seeing me in my dress for the first time… I will cherish every memory I have of you. There’s not enough pages in the world that I could use to write about you, but I will miss you dearly forever and I’m wishing you the most peaceful rest with Pepere, and I’ll see you again someday <3

Auntie Theresa,
I am so greatful for all of the time we spent together. You were such a strong, loving, funny, creative, beautiful woman whose door was always open to welcome visitors.
Thank you for all your help through the years when my meme was unwell. Seeing you brought her so much joy and she always looked forward to visiting with you.
I remember the times my meme and I would come to St. Catharines to visit you and how we would stay up late playing cards and sharing stories.
You will be greatly missed! Xoxo

Aunt Theresa, thank you for always being there for us and especially for all the time you spent with Mom, visiting and telling her stories from your shared childhood when she had dementia, bringing her french vanilla coffee and your special cookies. Your visits were always the highlight of her week and very much appreciated. You were very special to all of us and we will miss you terribly.

Dear memere, what a privilege it was to have you in my life and my children’s lives. I miss you, my thoughts keep jumping to different moments, how you taught me how to knit when I was young to the Winter Olympics in Canada cheering on our women’s hockey, how you lifted Stephen in your apple trees in your backyard, how you whipped up a pink nightdress on the fly for Michelle, how you loved to hear Katelyn sing. I see you at the dock fishing with my children in Florida, how you built snow forts with them here at home. So many countless moments We miss you. You are my navigator. Love you always Sherry
