Obituary of Jean Gdanski (nee Ostrowski)

Gdanski, Jean (nee Ostrowski) - Passed away peacefully with family near on Saturday January 27, 2018 at Millenium Trail Manor at the age 84. Beloved wife of Joseph for over 60 years. Loving mother to Joey (Laura), Nancy (Rob) Arsenault, Larry, Randy, and Robert (Connie). Cherished Grandma to Elliott, Justin, Allison, Scott, Chelsea, Colton, Kyra, Hannah, Megan and her great grandchildren. Survived by her sister Stasia (the late Ted) Smolak, and brother in law Mike. Preceased by her sisters Florence and Francis (Les). Jean worked along side her husband in the family business Homer Auto Wreckers for many years. After raising her family and in her retirement years, Jean took up golfing and travelled many times to Florida with Joseph and family. 

Family and friends are invited to visit at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, on Wednesday between 10 -11 am. Funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 11am with a luncheon to follow in Kristen French Fellowship Hall. A private family burial will take place at a later time. Memorial donations may be made to Alzheimers Society or Salvation Army, 400 Niagara St., St Catharines, ON L2M 7N5  in Jean's honour.
