Lyndall - We are so sorry to hear that Bob has lost his battle, he seemed so hopeful that he would pull through. We have memories of comparing notes with you on how our families were growing up. I have my memories of travelling to Iran with a small project group that included Bob some 22 years ago, difficult times since Iran was still at war with Iraq. I recall we would start our day by perusing the breakfast menu and noting that it offered caviar. Every day, we would ask for the caviar. Every day, we would be told that there was no caviar. All this had to be said without betraying any sense of humour at the situation.
I am sure you have many good memories of your time together, and hope that they help you deal with your loss.
Best Wishes
John and Jeanne
