Obituary of Robert Keith Levitt
Levitt, Robert "Bob" Keith - "Down from the clouds came a beautiful angel, the one lost to him so many years ago. "Don't be afraid daddy, you're not alone, I have come to take you home." And so at home surrounded by his loved ones, on Thursday December 13, 2012, in his 63rd year, Bob left his earthly family to join those who have gone before him. Left behind to keep his memory alive are his wife of 40 years, Linda (nee Morabito); son Rob (Cindy), daughter Erin (Derek) Judd; and his 5 cherished grandchildren, Logyn, Meaghan, Brodi, Justin and Brandon who all made him the proudest Papa. He will be remembered by his seven brothers Russ (Carol), Randy (Denyse), Bill (Barb), Ken (Sheri), Tom (Janice), Stuart (Muriel), and Bryan. Also left to mourn are sister-in-law Maria (the late James), that he called his second nag, brother-in-laws Lawrence, Chris (Sharon) and his father in law "Pops" Donald Jeffrey. Also survived by a large family of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents and beloved infant daughter Elissa (1973). Bob retired from General Motors after 30 years. He enjoyed hunting with his buddies, his yearly trip to Charlie's cottage and most of all spending time with his pal Larry at the shop. He was also a die hard Chicago Blackhawk's fan and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play hockey. In accordance with Bob's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of his life will take place at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Sunday at 2pm with visiting an hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in memory of Bob to the Children's Wish Foundation.
