Obituary of Georgina Thomson

THOMSON, Georgina It is with regret and sadness that we mark the passing of Georgina Thomson on Monday, December 3, 2012 in her 82nd year. Through to the end, Georgina showed an unrelenting courage and commitment to her family and friends. She was and will remain a tribute to all of us. Her absence from our midst will create a significant void. She is survived by her husband Al, her children Francine (Vaughn) and Stephen (Ellen), step-children Brian and Tamara and her grandchildren William, Sarah, Stephen and Nicholas. For those who knew her, Georgina was a wonderful example of a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. Special acknowledgment to the caring staff and nurses at Douglas Memorial Hospital, Fort Erie. In accordance with Georgina's wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. A celebration of Georgina's life will be held on Saturday, December 8th at 3p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with visitation taking place one hour prior to the service. If desired, memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
