Obituary of Dorothy Margaret Ballantyne

BALLANTYNE, Dorothy Margaret (McSweeney, nee Williams)- It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Margaret Ballantyne, aged 89, at the Chateau Gardens Nursing Home on Sunday, December 5, 2010. Margaret is survived by her son Colin McSweeney and wife Pat, and 3 daughters, Susan and husband Bruce Eckert, Teresa Valstar, and Patricia McSweeney. Margaret is also survived by 6 grandchildren Erin McSweeney, Shane and husband Todd Van Hal, Josh McSweeney, Jeremy Eckert, Michael Eckert and wife Kelly, Andrew Eckert and great granddaughter Victoria Van Hal. Predeceased by Timothy McSweeney, Ronald Ballantyne and grandson David Broadley McSweeney. Cremation has taken place. Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, December 10th, at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines from 2p.m -4p.m. and again from 7 p.m. - 9p.m. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 11th, at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah†™s Witnesses, 503 Linwell Ave., St. Catharines at 2 p.m. Memorial donations to Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family
