Obituary of Waltraud (Wally) Howe

HOWE, Waltraud (Wally)- Passed away with her loving family by her side on Saturday, January 26th, 2013 at the Greater Niagara General Hospital at the age of 57.Beloved wife of Ray. Cherished mother of Stephen (Angeleen) Bergen and Mark (Julie) Bergen. Loving step mom of Christopher Howe and Kevin Howe (Christine). Special Grandma of Vanessa, Matthew and Benjamin. Wally is survived by her mother Else (the late Jakob) Ballau and her sister Irm Penner. She will be sadly missed by her niece Carolyn (Brad) Cowie. The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to Wally's friend Sherri Hoover for all her care and compassion. A special thank you to the staff of Trillium and Unit C at the Greater Niagara General Hospital. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday from 7-9p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. A Celebration of Wally's Life will take place at Niagara United Mennonite Church, RR# 2, 1775 Niagara Stone Road; Niagara on the Lake on Thursday at 10:30a.m. Burial at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to Greater Niagara General Hospital for Trillium Unit and Unit C would be appreciated by the family.
