Obituary of Ranieri Favotto

FAVOTTO,Ranieri "Raniero", "Rene" It is with great sadness that the family of Raniero announces his sudden passing on Thursday, January 17th, 2013 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of 45 years to Lucy and loving father of Natalie and Paul. Dear brother-in-law of Gianni and Danila Cavaggion and Fred Danieli. Most special Zio to Gabe and Nick Ziccardi and Maria and Vince Valvano, and their children Nick and Marco Ziccardi and Antonio and Celina Valvano. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews in Italy. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by all his family, relatives and friends. Raniero worked at Hayes Dana for 30 years. He was also a member of Club Roma. Raniero's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, January 20th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. A Funeral Liturgy outside of Mass will be celebrated in the funeral home chapel on Monday, January 21st at 11am. In accordance with his wishes, cremation will follow the service. Inurnment will follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery on Thursday January 24, 2013 at 1:00 pm. If desired, memorial donations to the St. Catharines General Hospital-New Hospital Site would be appreciated by the family.
