Obituary of James Ernest Nimeth
NIMETH, James Ernest "Jim"
On January 10th, 2013, at 1:32pm at Hospice Niagara, Jim was born into Spirit, peacefully surrounded by his loving family.
He will be remembered by his much loved wife of 46 years Chris, and his children Leslie (Mike) Nimeth, Melanie (Kevin) Nimeth, Laura (Chris) MacDonell and Matt (Danielle) Nimeth. Playful and fun loving Grandpa to Katrina Nimeth, Jessica and Spencer Grimley, Sidney and Logan MacDonell and Trent Nimeth.
He will be missed by his sister Joan Kijanka, his niece Pamela (Greg) Marchetti, his nephew David Kijanka, sister in law Vonda Longin and brother in law Marcel Longin. Jim will be missed by his extended family and friends in the community.
He joins his parents Ernest and Mary, and his sister Dorothy in Spirit.
He was a dedicated teacher with the Niagara Catholic District School Board for over 30 years and lived a true entrepreneurial life, owning several businesses in his lifetime-including his most current venture, the Water Superstore.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
Jim's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, January 16th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm . A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at St. Julia Catholic Church, 251 Glenridge Avenue on Thursday, January 17th at 11am. There will be a private family inurnment at a later date.
If desired, memorial donations to Heart to Heart Africa would be appreciated by the family.
