Obituary of Lena Kasmerski
KASMERSKI, LENA - With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Lena at the St. Catharines General Hospital on Tuesday November 30, 2010 in her 85th year.
Loving mother of Gail Harrison. Dear grandmother of Patrick Harrison. Survived by her nieces Debbie and April Horodenchuk and nephews Guy, Johnny and Joey Horodenchuk. Lena will be fondly remembered by her many relatives in London, Ottawa, Tillsonburg, Winnipeg and Vancouver. Mrs. Kasmerski was predeceased by both her parents John(1944) and Lena (1989) Horodenchuk, her step father Peter Chernishenko(1976), grandson Michael (1972), her niece Betty Busch (nee Horodenchuk) (2008) and brothers William (1988), Michael and James (2006) Horodenchuk.
A special thank you to Mount Carmel for their care and compassion. Also, the ICU nurses of SCGH and caregiver Ingrid Meile.
Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Thursday December 2, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held on Thursday at 3 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Denis Church on Friday at 11 a.m. with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
If so desired, donations made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
