Obituary of Edith Florence Shorrock

Shorrock, Edith "Edie" Florence - Passed away peacefully on Saturday January 5, 2013 at the St. Catharines General Hospital at the age of 87. Predeceased by her husband Gordon (1990) of 44 years of marriage. Loving Ma to Darlene, Larry, and Danny (Barb). Cherished Grandma to Abby. Beloved sister to Harry (Phyllis), Lily and sister-in-law Kathy. Also predeceased by her brothers and sister George, Dolly, Johnny, many nieces, nephews and family members. Edith was a long time member of Facer Street Baptist Church. She will be missed for her singing, dancing, wit and humour. Family will receive friends at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street on Tuesday between 3-7pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 11am in the funeral home chapel with cremation to follow. Burial will take place at Victoria Lawn Cemetery at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Hotel Dieu - Kidney Dialysis Unit in Edith's memory.
