Obituary of Joan Manning Caira

CAIRA, Joan Manning (nee Mahoney) Passed away with her family by her side, on Sunday, March 3rd, 2013 at Hospice Niagara in her 82nd year. Cherished mom of Loren, Janine, Nadia (Dave), Daren (Jeff) and Martene (Mark). Dearly loved nana of Drew, Caira, Briar, Anders, Kristian, Stefan and Katja. Joan dedicated her life to helping others, as a mother, a grandmother and a nurse. She was very active and supportive in the community, lending her wisdom and guidance to many friends over the years. Joan will be remembered for her positive outlook on life, her sense of humour, and her undying love for her family. She will be dearly missed by all. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the wonderful care Joan received from Dr. Gruber, Dr. Child and the exceptional staff at Hospice Niagara. Cremation has taken place. Joan's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, on Thursday, March 7th from 7-9 p.m. A Celebration of Joan's life will be held on Friday, March 8th at Bethany Community Church, 1388 Third Street, at 11 a.m. Memorial donations to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
