Obituary of Lillian Violet Hatt
HATT, Lillian Violet (nee Roebuck)- Passed away with her loving family by her side on Wednesday, February 20th, 2013 at Hospice Niagara at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late James. Cherished mother of James Daniel (Jan) Hatt, Timothy David (Theresa) Hatt and Brian Edmund Hatt. Loving Grandmother of David Duke, Tammy Fisse, Samantha Livingston, Joshua Livingston, Madison Hatt and Megan Hatt. Great grandmother of Kaelin Fisse and Jackson Duke. Special sister of Lana Duke and Lawrence Roebuck. Lillian is predeceased by her parents Alfred Edmund Roebuck and Janet Brown Roebuck (nee Arthur), her brother Alfred Roebuck and her granddaughter Jodi. She will be sadly missed by her brother and sister in law Bob and Thelma Hatt and her many nieces and nephews. Lillian was a member of The Women's Auxiliary of the Spartan Athletic Club, and she also loved camping and was an avid dirt racing fan. She was very creative and loved knitting, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren. A sincere thank you to Dr. Chauhan, Dr. Levesque and all the staff from St. Elizabeth's Homecare and Hospice Niagara for all their care and compassion. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, February 22nd from 2-4 p.m. A Celebration of Lillian's Life will follow at 4 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
