KREPTOWSKI, John
Passed away peacefully at Hotel Dieu Shaver hospital on Wednesday March 13, 2013 in his 90th year. Devoted husband to Donna for 33 years. Lovingly remembered by his children Janice (Dave) Twiddy, Laurie (Paul) Ryan, Christine (Dave) Pay, Cheryle James, Douglas (Kim) Metcalfe, Richard Metcalfe. Will be missed dearly by his grandchildren Michelle (Steve), Allison, Kendra and Haley. Predeceased by sons John (1992) and Paul (1994), and his sister Janet Pieprzak (2011).
John was a veteran of WWII, serving in England for the Canadian Air Force, and was a member of the Royal Canadian Polish Legion branch 418 for 57 years. John was past president and an honorary life member of the St. Catharines Game and Fish Association, having served as Canoe Handling Instructor and Hunter Safety Course for the Ministry of Natural resources. John retired after 32 years of service with London Life and continued to enjoy his love of the outdoors across Canada exploring waterways and campsites. A special thanks to the staff at Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital for all of their compassionate care.
As per John's wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines. Family and friends are welcome to attend John's Inurnment at the Victoria Lawn Cemetery on Friday March 22, 2013 at 11am.
Donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
