Obituary of Marina Schuhmann

SCHUHMANN MARINA - It is with great sadness we announce the passing away of Marina (Margrit) Schuhmann. Marina was 71 years when she gracefully and peacefully passed away with her family at her side, at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Sunday, March 10th, 2013, after her brave battle with cancer. Marina will be deeply missed by her adoring husband Hermann, for 47 years, her sons Gunther (Melanie), Bryan (Deidra) and beloved Oma to Erin, Dean and Dustin. Survived by her brother Eckhart (Lilo) and many family and friends in Canada and Germany. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A memorial service to celebrate Marina's life will be held in the chapel on Thursday at 1 pm. Interment in Victoria Lawn Cemetery at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Rankin Cancer Fund.The family wish to express a heartfelt thank you to the staff of the St Catharines General, Progressive Care Unit.
