Obituary of James Howard

HOWARD, James "Jim" After a brief illness, Jim passed away with his family by his side, on Thursday, March 7th, 2013 at Hospice Niagara in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of Maureen for 58 years. Loving father of James, Robert and Laurie (Paul) Chamberlain. Adored Papa of Sean, Hannah and Declan. Jim will also be fondly missed by his sister Ida and his brother Gerald. Jim worked for the Ontario Paper Company (Thorold) for 28 years as a welder. He enjoyed spending his summers in Newfoundland with Maureen and their family. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the compassionate staff at Hospice Niagara for their kindness and support. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Tuesday, March 12th at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., St. Catharines, at 1 p.m., with visitation being held one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Niagara.
