Obituary of John (Jack) James Newbert

NEWBERT, John (Jack) - Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on Sunday, April 7th, 2013 at his residence at the age of 83. Beloved husband of Francisca for 58 years. Cherished father of Susan (Paul) Cotton, Stephen ( Kathy) Newbert and Lee (Lisa) Newbert. Predeceased by his daughter Frankie Hill. Loving Grandpa of Drew, Sarah (Ken), Jennifer (Torri), John ( Racheal), Christopher (Melissa), Debra ( Brennan), Jordan( Leanne), Ashley and Patience. Special Abuelo of Kallista, Lukas, Kaydence, Peyton, Madison, Markus, Jenson and Juanito. Brother of Christine (Daniel) Kitts of England and the late Ron (Joan) Newbert of England. John was employed by General Motors as a Pattern Maker until his retirement in 1992.The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the Oncology Department of the St. Catharines General Hospital, the nurses from CCAC and the Paramedics for all their care and compassion. A special thank you to all of John's friends and neighbors for all their support and well wishes. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL. A private family service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society can be made through the funeral home.
