Obituary of Jaroslaw Stashynsky

STASHYNSKY, Jaroslaw ( Jerry)- Passed away on Friday, April 26th, 2013 at the Niagara Health System at the age of 87. Beloved husband of the late Kataryna. Cherished father of Mary. Loving Dido of Justyn. Jerry was employed at General Motors for over 35 years. He loved fishing and camping with his grandson Justyn. Jerry will always be remembered for his dedication to the Ukrainian Community and St. Cyril and Methodius Church. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday from 7-9p.m. Panachyda will take place on Sunday at 7p.m. in the funeral home. Visitors will also be received at the funeral home on Monday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Panachyda will take place again on Monday at 7p.m. in the funeral home. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church on Tuesday at 10a.m. Burial at St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cemetery in Oakville to follow. Memorial donations to Homin Ukrainy Newspaper or Sts. Cyril and Methodius Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.
