Obituary of Eugene Mc Gowan Sr.

McGOWAN , Eugene Sr. Peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 5th at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Mary and dearest father of James (Cathie), Eugene (Dawn), Terry, Michael (Andrea) and Kevin (Steffi). Dear grandfather of Donna, Kevin, Michael, Brianna, Samantha and Arianna and cherished great grandfather of Ryan and Sean. Dear brother of Michael (Aileen), Mary (Gary) and Patricia (Chris). Lovingly remembered by his brothers in law James (Rose) McNeil and Tony McCann in Scotland, and many nieces, nephews and friends, both here and in Scotland. Eugene was a member of the St. Catharines Celtic Club and the Rangers Golf League. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Roman Catholic Church, 272 Vine Street on Monday, May 10th at 11am. Cremation will follow the service with an inurnment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
