Obituary of Neil Sabin Harvey
NEIL SABIN HARVEY (Oct. 23, 1981-May 23, 2010), was taken suddenly and far too soon from his loved ones on Sunday, May 23, 2010, playing, as was his love, in the great outdoors. Neil was a †˜big man†™ in every way, and will be deeply missed by his family and all who came into contact with him.
Although skilled in many trades, and with a wide range of interests, being a father was his most important role in life. Emma and Ali were always at the top of the priority list, and in turn, they adored their big, boisterous bear of a Dad. They were, and will always remain, Daddy's girls.
With hard-earned success in his new business, Neil developed a reputation for quality and integrity. He was loved for his good humour and his total lack of pretence. Neil†™s generosity was such that he often did things spontaneously and without expectations for friends and strangers alike, just because it felt right at the moment.
Neil leaves behind his precious Lessia, his deeply loved daughters Emma and Alison, his mother Olivia, father Bruce, his sister Claire, step-father Tom, and his parents-in-law Tina and Alex, not to mention his beloved Boxer Otto.
Visitation will be on Friday, May 28, 2010 at the George Darte Funeral Home in St. Catharines between 6 & 9 pm. There will be a family-only private funeral service at the same location the next day. In lieu of flowers, donations to an education trust for Emma and Ali would be greatly appreciated (donations can be made at any Scotiabank branch, Account No. 04796 0042528).
