MURPHY, Helen Elizabeth "Betty" (nee Leahy)
It is with great sorrow that Helen's family announces her sudden passing in her home on Sunday, June 20, 2010 in her 94th. Helen has been reunited with her husband Frank (1979). Beloved Mother of Clare (Norma), Fred (Carol), Eileen O'Brien, Marlene (John) Ferguson, Leo, Jim (Gail), Bobby (Gaetana) and Paul. Helen is predeceased by her daughter Carol-Ann (1977), son Danny (1988) and grandson Danny Jr. (2008). Cherished Grandma of 19 grandchildren and loving Little Grandma of 21 great grandchildren. Dear aunt of Susie, Sheila, Faye and Cheryl. Helen is also predeceased by her 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Helen will be fondly remembered by her neighbours in Geneva Court, friends and her Euchre pals. Helen's family will receive family and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine St. at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2010. The Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Community Care.
