Obituary of Dolores Lowden
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing at St. Catharines General Hospital on Friday August 6, 2010 in her 68th year with her family by her side.
Survived by her mother Stella Nowak, brother Steve Novak, and loving husband Ed Lowden. Devoted mother of Chris (Linda) Maybee, Geoff (Michelle) Maybee and Archie (Michelle) Maybee. Loving step-mother of Randy (Christine) Lowden, Karen Lowden and Leanne (John) Mothershead. Cherished nanny of Abby, Alex, Brad, and Josh. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Dolores will be sadly missed by her long time best friend Jeannette Moore and beloved friends Lynn Dorion, and Frances Slacek.
Already missed by her companion Tootsie. Dolores touched the lives of many with her generosity of spirit and active community involvement with the Grantham Optimist Club, as well as her past employment with the District School Board of Niagara. The family extends a special thank you to the staff and volunteers at the St. Catharines General Hospital and the kindness of Dr. Garland. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Grantham Optimist Club would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Sunday August 8 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Delores†™ life will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the chapel with interment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
