Obituary of Giuseppe Passero

Passero, Giuseppe (Joe): Suddenly on Sunday August 9, 2009, in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Lilia for more than 44 years. Loving father of John Passero, Egidio (Lia) Passero, and Melissa Passero (DJ McTrivish). Cherished grandfather of Alyssa Passero. He is survived by his brothers and sister, Nicolina (Pasquale) Carelli, Vince (Tina) Passero, Gerry (Ofelia) Passero, Vito (Victoria) Passero, Maria (Adelio) Mastrangelo, Tina (Bruno) Sardella, Ida (Vince) Mancini, and Tony (Carmelina) Passero, brothers and sisters in law Desma (Primo) Canzonetta of (Italy), Pasqualina Bianconi, Giovanna Marconi, as well as many nieces and nephews both in Canada and Italy. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters in law Damia (Giulio) Pecci, Giovanni Bianconi, and Benito Marconi. Joe was a longtime member of St. Alfred's Church Parish, Club Castropignano, and St. Alfred's Church Card Club. Joe is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines Visiting hours are Tuesday August 11, 2009 from 7-9 p.m., Wednesday August 12, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church 272 Vine St. at 11 a.m. Thursday August 13, 2009. The rite of committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil Prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home Wednesday at 3 p.m. Memorial remembrances to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
