It is unfortunate that the obituary doesn't state the truth of the matter that Mr. Melvyn Kitler murdered his wife Verna in cold blood in Toronto, in the mid-70's. You are welcome to look up the court records and find this out for yourself.
He served only two years for this crime.
In addition, he cut himself off from most of the children thru Verna. Many attempts by the children to contact him and perhaps work through an understanding and healing process were rebuffed by Mr. Kitler.
I find it sick that the obituary read as it did. Clearly Mr. Melvyn Kitler wrote the obituary himself prior to his death.
