Obituary of Ted Hillier

HILLIER, Ted Surrounded by his loving family on Friday, September 11th, at the Tufford Nursing Home, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Noreen for 63 wonderful years. Much loved father of Brian (Anna), and David (Glenda). Grandpa†™s warm wit will be sadly missed by his five grandchildren, Gordon of Vancouver, Kathi (Andrew) of Sydney, Australia and Darcie (Clayton), Kelty and Kendra (Mike) of St. Catharines. Cherished great grandfather of David, Rachel, Aidyn, Michaela, Hudson and Ainsley. Ted worked for 43 years as a Die Sinker at General Motors before retiring in 1983. He was a member of the Pickerel Fishing club for over 50 years. The family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Tuesday, September 15th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 16th at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 316 Queenston Street, St. Catharines at 11:00 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil Prayers will be recited in the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or the St. Vincent de Paul Society would be appreciated by the family. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Tufford Nursing Home, Melissa and Dr. G. Arvinte for their kindness.
