Obituary of Jacob Dziedzina
DZIEDZINA, Jacob
Peacefully passed away in his sleep on Monday, October 5, 2009 at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS, at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Mary for 54 years. Loving father of Mark. Dearest uncle of Irene and her husband Edward Jurus and Jim Dziedzina. He will be lovingly remembered by his nephews and nieces Jon (Janice), Jerry (Joanne), Joseph (Cairine), Jacqueline (Marc), Kyle, Sam and all their families. He will be sadly missed by his wonderful neighbours and dear friends. Jacob was a retired employee of General Motors for 25 years. He was also a member of the Polish Canadian Legion Branch 418 and a faithful parishioner of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church for fifty years. A heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital and at the St. Catharines General Hospital. A special thanks to Dr. Wayne Gruber and Dr. John Taliano. Jacob's family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate St., on Thursday, October 8, 2009 at 10 a.m. Rite of Committal to follow service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be held in the funeral home Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to ErinoakKids Centre, 2695 North Sheridan Way, Suite 120, Mississauga, ON, L5K 2N6.
