Obituary of Kenneth George Primmer
Primmer, Kenneth George: It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Kenneth George Primmer who died peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Sunday November 1st, 2009, at the age of 86. Beloved husband of Irene Primmer (Nee: McEvoy) for more than 56 years. He will always be loved and remembered by his children Terri McLennan MacDonald (Derrill), Helen Dueck (Lorne) and Michael Primmer (Lily Rezo Primmer). Cherished grampa of Andrew and Josh Primmer. Ken is survived by his sister in law Peggy McAllister, nephew Brian McAllister, and niece Patricia Munce. He is predeceased by his sisters Cathy and Joan. Born and raised in Hastings England, Kenneth was a W.W. 2 veteran and a member of the British Royal Air Force, moving to Montreal in 1957, and finally settling in St. Catharines in 1965. He retired from General Motors in 1987, he was active in his church family at Christ Lutheran Church, and his passion for helping build people's faith led to an unending dedication in creating the church library. His gentle spirit, kind heartedness, and loving disposition will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Kenneth is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. Visitations will be held on Wednesday November 4, 2009 from 7-9 p.m.,Thursday November 5, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the funeral home. The funeral service will be held at Christ Lutheran Church 140 Russell Ave. St. Catharines on Friday November 6, 2009 at 12:30 p.m. with interment to follow at Victorialawn Cemetery. Memorial remembrances made to the charity of ones choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
