Obituary of Frank J. Pogoda

Pogoda, Frank: Surrounded by his loving family on Thursday December 10, 2009, at the St. Catharines General Hospital in his 79th year. Beloved husband to Geraldine for more than 54 years. Loving father of MaryLou (Christian) Lorenzen, Vicky (Randy) Woolridge, Mitch (Deborah) Pogoda. Cherished Papa of Henry, Ellen, Jack, Frank, Rachel, Robin, Joe, Katie, Laura, and Audrey. Predeceased by his son Joe, and brothers Stan and John. An avid golfer, and bowler, he loved his baseball and football, Frank was Mr. Fix it, and never forgot a joke anyone told him. The Donut Diner's stocks have already dropped and the world just got a lil quieter. He will be sadly missed by all. Frank is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines, Visiting hours are Saturday December 12, 2009 from 7 - 9 p.m. Sunday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be said at 3 p.m. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated on Monday December 14, 2009 at 10 a.m. at St. Julia's Church, with cremation to follow. Memorial Remembrances made to the St. Catharine's General Hospital Walker Cancer Center would be appreciated by the family.
