Obituary of Vito Frank Tota

TOTA, Vito- Passed away with his loving family by his side on Sunday, December 13th, 2009 at Hospice Niagara at the age of 49. Beloved husband of Diana. Cherished father of Mark and Emily. Loving son of Emilia and the late Guilio. Loving brother of Josephine (Frank) Loiero and Frank ( Patricia) Tota. Special son in law of Vince and Clelia Petraroia. Brother in law of Ron (Charlane) Petraroia. Vito will be sadly missed by his many nieces,nephews, friends and co-workers. He was employed at Port Weller Dry Docks for 30 years, he was a member of International Boilermakers Union-Local 128 and was a coach for Club Roma Soccer. Vito was a member of Club Guardia Lombardi for 12 years. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff and volunteers at Hospice Niagara, Dr. Kerley, Dr. Timko, Dr. Giesbrecht, Dr. Blewett, Dr. Taliano and Dr. Yu and the staff at the Oncology Unit for all their care and compassion and a special thank you to Nurse Nancy. A heart felt thank you to all the family and friends for their support and well wishes. Mr. Tota is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday from 7-9p.m. and Wednesday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Wednesday at 3p.m. in the funeral home. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church on Thursday at 11a.m. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to Hospice Niagara would be appreciated by the family.
