Obituary of Jonathan Valencia-Caro

VALENCIA-CARO, Jonathan - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jon on February 21, 2010 in his 19th year. Beloved son of Maria Teresa Caro (Zsolt Lakatos) and Jose Valencia (Margorie). Cherished grandson of Maria Celina Caro of St. Catharines and Gilma Alzate of Colombia. He will be fondly remembered by Steven, Natalia, Samantha, uncles, aunt and extended family in Colombia, as well as his many friends. Jonathan graduated with honours from St. Francis Secondary School and was a first year student at McMaster University in the Life Sciences Program. Family and friends will be received at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street on Tuesday March 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street on Wednesday March 3 at 11:00 a.m. with Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. If so desired, donations to St. Francis Secondary School Scholarship in Memory of Jonathan Valencia-Caro would be appreciated by the family.
