random thoughts
I have so many stories of Heather it would be so hard to share just one. I will type as the memories come to me.
We met the first week at highschool ( Sir Winston Churchill). The whole school was on the hill on the football field and they were taking a picture for our yearbook. I fell and slid in the mud in front of Heather and she spend the next hour helping me clean the mud from my clothes.. we skipped Gym class lol. The rest was history. Heather and I did some pretty silly things growing up... sometimes i wonder just how we ever survived to adulthood... as a parent of a teenager now, i remember many of the things we used to do and shudder lol Heather was always ready for a good time, a good laugh.. spontaneous and fun and i trusted her with my life. She was a great secret keeper.. a great listener and a great friend. If it wasn't for heather my husband and i would never have met. She was there for me for all my firsts; first boyfriend, first death, first marriage, first child. She was there for me through my divorce, held my hand in the hospital as my auntie Frances passed away , when i went back to college- I cant think of a time she wasn't there. I dont know how I would have made it through so many things without having her by my side.
some random memories and thoughts- She loved to go on wine tours, craft shows or just drive around to random places.. she loved old cemeteries and many times we would scare each other by dabbling with the Ouija. She loved animals. she loved the bands the cure, the smiths and new order in highschool. She loved to read anne rice or bertice small and many times she stayed over and we would just read side by side. She loved black label beer, blue Hawaiians and sweet fizzy drinks. Her and I played the viola together all through highschool in the orchestra.... I once died her hair black lol. her laugh was contagious and unique. she was an intensely private person. she loved private jokes and monty python.she loved to dance and loved dance and house music. she loved driving with all the windows down.she loved plain ruffle chips with cheese dip, french fries and harveys and rootbeer or cream soda floats. she loved bonfires and bingo and beaches. we used to make up silly video and audio tapes of us singing or acting out our own skits.she loved life.
she was fiercely loyal and I have lost the one person who knew me inside and out. There is now a void that can never be replaced. I wont have heather to share any "remember when or so and so?" or "you will never guess who i ran into today".. or what was so and so's name? or remember that time we.... she knew my entire past, she was there every day for it.
I will miss you like crazy Heath.

Dear Pauline and family. Sorry to read that Heather has gone. She was a wsonderful girl. She had a infectious laugh. I met her just before she got sick. Then she had her first serf\gery and she seemed to bounce back pretty good. We lost touch when her and Dave split. She called me when my husband died 6 years ago, which I thought was very thoughtful of her to do. I thought of her often. May you find peace in knowing she is not suffering any more.

Dear Pauline,
We are very saddened and our hearts are heavy. We got to know Heather through Andrew and Nadia and know she was a very brave, young woman who never complained. You will miss her dearly but remembering all the wonderful times you spent together will bring some comfort. There is no greater loss than the loss of a child. Pauline, you have been very good to us and we also want to be there for you. Love, Louise and Harold.

Heather was such a huge part of my life for so many, many years. There isn't a memory I can think of growing up that did NOT include Heather. I have many, many memories from over the years.. photos..letters we passed in class, even the two of us recorded on audio and video tapes goofing off to cherish forever. She even was there the day I met my husband, 21 years ago. She will leave a void in my heart that will never be filled... her brave battle has ended and she is now at peace. My deepest sympathies go out to all of you.

Heather and I met as neighbours and schoolmates at around 5 yrs old. I have so many memories of Heather all throughout elementary school and onward. We lost touch as adults but thanks to Facebook had reconnected and had talked of meeting up sharing messages and pic comments. She was a sweetheart and it made me smile to find her again. I am sorry for your loss Pauline, Dennis, Andrew and families. I will always remember her and her humour. xo.

Beautiful Heather
Heather was such a beautiful person, always talked about her mom and was very proud of her achievements, she was always there to listen and share her opinions. Very good worker and took her job seriously, had a lot of good times and was glad I seen her every day, I know I will miss her very much.
Love you Heather

My deepest Sympathy to the Coppard Family. It's so hard to imagine life without Heather, almost as hard as it is to imagine our lives if we'd never met her. It is an honour to have you as a friend and I will never forget you. Heather was always an inspiration to live life to its fullest. I am sad that I will never get to have another conversation with you, a drink with you at CANASA, funny email joke or laugh with you, but I will certainly remember all the times we have. Good bye my friend.
