Obituary of Patricia Jeanne Pennekamp
PENNEKAMP, Patricia - With her loving family at her side in her 73rd year. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother on Monday, March 29, 2010 at the St. Catharines General Hospital. Predeceased by her loving husband Ted (2001) and her special companion Shaker, just 3 weeks ago. Pat is survived by her loving son Richard (Helen), her loving daughters, Linda (Bob) Cutler,Nancy (Gord) Cameron, Patricia (Larry) Vanderlee and Susan (the late Dan) Culhane. She is also survived by her loving sisters Joan (Dave) Adamson, Louise (Bob) Carpenter. Pat is predeceased by her parents Gord and Bernice Henry, her brothers Robert, Richard and Wayne and her sister Sheila Carly, and just 6 days ago, her sister Verna Paddle. Patricia was the proud grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren with two on the way. Mom had such a wonderful loving giving heart and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A very special thank you to the awesome nursing staff on the Palliative Care floor at the St.Catharines General Hospital. Your compassion and care will never be forgotten. Patricia is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St Catharines. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held on Wednesday at 3p.m. in the funeral home. A Celebration of Pat's life will take place on Thursday, April 1st at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
