Obituary of Mary Duncan Pate Knight

KNIGHT, Mary (nee Smith)- Passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Saturday, November, 8th,2008 at the Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late John. Dear mother of Terry ( Carrol), Brad, Derek ( Jocelyn) and Bob. Special mother in law to Linda (Bill). Cherished grandmother of John, Jerad (April), Jason (Karen), Tammy, Sharon (Matt), Tabitha, Adriann, and Stone. Mary will be missed by her 8 great grandchildren and her several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brothers Jack, Bill and Tom and her dear friend Ernie Hilton. Mary was an active member of R.C.L. Branch 24 Ladies Auxiliary for 22 years. She held the office of president for 2 years and also 1st and 2nd vice president. She also was a member of the Downtown Seniors and a loyal carpet bowler for 10 years. Mary is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. The family will receive visitors on Monday from 7-9p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Branch 24 Ladies Auxiliary will perform a Legion Service on Monday at 7:30p.m. in the funeral home. A Funeral Service will take place at 11a.m. on Wednesday at the Church of the Good Shepherd. Interment at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
