SNELL, Laverne (Kuntz)- Passed away at home on Thursday, December 4th, 2008 with her loving family at her side at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late Donald Snell. Dear mother of Mark (Barb), Karen (Gary), Victoria, Doreen (Ken), Dawn Marie (Steve), Terri, Kathy (Randy) and Tim (Barb). Grandmother of Billie (Chris), Mark, Greg, Jamie, David (Cheryl), Lindsay (Tim), Craig, Jenny, Jillian (Jay), Jeff, Jana, Julie, Ashley, Tim, Montana, Stephanie, Chris, and Mark. Great grandmother of Adam, Connor, Alyssa, Tyler, Justin, Sarah and Opal. Loving sister of Rita, Sister Marjorie, Blanche, Marianne, Joyce, Jerry and Clair. Predeceased by her brother Nelson. Laverne was a member of the Star of the Sea Church. She was an avid card and Scrabble player with her family. She will be missed by Harry-O, Cooper and Maggie. Laverne is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. The family will receive visitors on Monday from 2-4p.m. & 7-9p.m. Vigil prayers will take place on Monday at 3p.m. in the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at Star of the Sea Church on Tuesday at 1p.m. Cremation to follow. Memorial donations to the Lung Association or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
