VISCEK, Ladislav "Lado"
It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of Lado Viscek on December 4th, 2008, in his 78th year. He peacefully slipped away in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loving family.
Beloved husband of Mary of 50 years, loving father of Lado Jr. (Linda) and Kathy. Cherished Papa to Jennifer, Charlene and John. Survived by his brother Joseph (Mary) of St. Catharines, sister Maria and brother Polde of Slovenia. Lado will sadly be missed by nephews Joe Jr. and Frank (Denise), and great nieces and nephews Stefanie, Joey, Michael, Nicole and Vanessa. Predeceased by his parents and brothers Frank and Dolf-all of Slovenia.
A dedicated member of Lipa Park, Lado will be missed by many friends. Lado could always be found working in his vineyard but gladly stopped to take the time to share a glass of wine.
Lado's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Sunday, December 7th from 1-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, 169 St. Paul Crescent, St. Catharines on Monday, December 8th at 10:30am. Rite of Committal Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers for Mr. Viscek will be recited in the funeral home on Sunday at 3:30pm. If desired, memorial donations to the St. Catharines General Hospital Foundation -New Hospital Complex would be appreciated by the family.
