Obituary of Glenn Holder

Holder, Glenn: At his home on Monday January 5, 2009 in his 66th year. Beloved husband of Shirly. Loving father of Vikki Holder, Alison Barbas, and Krista Holder. Cherished grandfather of Jesse, Alyssa, and Robert Barbas. He is survived by brothers Alan (Debbie), Colin (Linda), and Ken (Kathy), brothers in law Michael Patrick, Tommy, Jimmy, David, sister in law Cindy, and many nieces and nephews. Glenn was predeceased by brother Marc. Glenn was fun loving, easy going man who lived for youth. A Foster Father to over 65 children, and hosted many international students. An avid fisherman. One of his favourite things to do were to watch his grandsons Jesse and Robert play hockey. He supported Shirly in the Garden City Optimist Club, and Girl Guides (Mr. BrownOwl), he was a track and field coach for the Ontario Special Olympics. Glenn worked for Foster Wheeler/Trenergy for 46 years. A celebration of Glenn's LIfe will be held in the chapel of the George Darte Funeral Home 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines. Saturday January 10th 2009 at 11 a.m. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances can be made to any youth organization of choice.
