Obituary of Margaret Washuta

WASHUTA, MARGARET (nee: Nevelo) Passed away peacefully at the St. Catharines General Hospital, surrounded by her family on Friday, January 23, 2009 in her 78th year. Predeceased, just four months ago, by her beloved husband John of 54 years. Loving mother of Greg (Kathy Sirotnik). Dear sister of Frank (Irma) Nevelo. Sister in law of Mike (June) Washuta. She is survived by sisters in law Dorothy, Sonia, Goldie and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers in law Peter, Steve and Ray Washuta and sisters in law Annie Hnatiw, Mary Potashnyk and Alice Bilinski. The family will receive friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL HOME, 585 Carlton St. on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Alfred's Church 272 Vine St. on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 11:00 am. Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be celebrated in the funeral home on Monday at 3 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Catharines General Hospital Site (Emergency Unit) - NHS, Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital or the Arthritis Society. The family wishes to thank the staff of the emergency unit, at the St. Catharines General Hospital Site- NHS and staff of Tabor Manor for the special care and support given to Margaret.
