Della Vecchia, Antonio Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the St. Catharines General Hospital-NHS on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, in his 95th year. Beloved husband of the late Maria Lola (2004). Dear father of Joanne (late Ralph) Biancaniello, Filomena (Amato) Lombardi, Jerry (Nancy), Patrick (Margaret), Carmela (John) Dellasciucca and Peter (Connie).Loving Nonno of 17 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his daughter Flora and by his sister and brother in law Flora (Vito) Pepe. Antonio was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Merritton. Antonio's family will receive family and friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. on Friday, February 13, 2009, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 31 Chestnut St. East, on Saturday, February 14, 2009, at 10:00 a.m. Entombment to follow service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Vigil prayers will be held Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Help a Child Smile.
