Obituary of Madeline Lorretta Schiebel
SCHIEBEL, Madeline (nee Goll) - Peacefully, passed away on Saturday, February 14th 2009, at the Hotel-Dieu Shaver Hospital in her 85th year. Loving wife of the late Gregory Schiebel (1994).Survived by son Wayne Disch( Betty) and grandson David Disch. Also survived by brother-in-law Mello Schiebel (Pat), sisters-in-law, Alma Bishop, Ursula Hahn and Marina Hays as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents John and Ida Goll (Peochman), sister Vera Kuntz, brothers Wilfred, Clarence, Elmer and Lawrence Goll. Mrs. Schiebel, born in Carlsruhe, Ont., resided in the Kitchener Waterloo area before moving to St. Catharines in 1995. She was a member of the Catholic Women's League in Kitchener and in St. Catharines. Heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at the Hotel-Dieu Shaver Hospital.
Madeline is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, from 9:30- 10:30a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street, St. Catharines at 11a.m. Interment at Parkview Cemetery in Waterloo will take place on Thursday. Memorial donations to the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
