Obituary of Queenie Dennis
DENNIS, Queenie- 1914 - 2009- Queenie passed away peacefully at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital with family by her side on Wednesday, March 11, 2009. Queenie was devoted to her family, loved to travel, read books and follow current events. Queenie was born in England, came to Canada in 1948 with her husband Randolph Dennis (predeceased). They lived and raised their family in Toronto's eastern suburbs. After Randolph's death, Queenie moved to St. Catharines where she met her second husband Dennis Skinner (predeceased). They had many happy years together exploring Canada in their Bowler trailer and travelling abroad. She will be greatly missed by her children Peter (Paulette), Julie and by her grandchildren Mark, Martine, and Kristy Mancuso. A special thank you to Dr. John Luce for his on going care and also to the staff at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital for their compassion. Respecting Queenie's wishes, there will be a private family service. There will be a visitation for friends at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Friday, March 13, 2009 from 7 - 9 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethlehem Projects of Niagara, Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital or the charity of your choice. Queenie will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Queenie
