Obituary of Zinnia Game

GAME, Zinnia (nee Safraniuk) 1924-2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and gram Zinnia Anne on Friday March 13, 2009. Wife of the late Robert Game (1980). Beloved mother and grandmother of Robert (Evelyn) & children Ryan James and Emily Rae of Wainfleet, Glenn & his daughter Suzanne Rue and Kelvin and his son Ryan Mack of B.C. Survived by her sister Grace Levesque of Petrolia & many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Zinnia retired from the Right House and was a member of St. Denis Church. She was also the past president of the CWL. Zinnia volunteered at Lourdes France for 13 years, as well as Meals on Wheels and the Distress Centre for 14 years. Her boys would like to thank the nursing staff of Port Colborne General Hospital 2-W, and especially Dr. Jan Aleksiejuk for his great care and compassion of their mom and gram. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St., on Tuesday March 17th, 2009 at 1 p.m. with private family inurnment to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
