Obituary of Anne Elizabeth Steeves
Steeves, Anne Elizabeth: Passed away peacefully at her home in St. Catharines, Ontario on Saturday, March 14, 2009. Born in Tahanovce, Czechoslovakia in 1927, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Nee; Buza) Tresa. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Diane Szabo of Kingston Ontario, Paul (Celine) of Oakville, Ontario and David (Carolyn) of Moncton, N.B.; grandchildren, Benjamin Szabo, Jessica, Twins Sarah and Megan, Laura, Katie, Hannah and Luke Steeves; brother, Steve (Lucille) Tresa of Gloucester, Ontario; sister Mary (Winston) Cragg of Milton, Ontario; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hugh M. Steeves. Anne's kind and gentle nature and her love for family and friends will be remembered by all who knew her.
Anne is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines, Ontario visitations from 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday March 18, 2009 with the funeral service to follow at St. Columba Anglican Church 7 St. Columba Dr. St. Catharines, Ontario at 1 p.m.. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, St. Columba Anglican Church, or the charity of ones choice. Interment will take place in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
