DI VINCENZO, Pietro "Pete"
Went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 23, 2009 in his 85th. Beloved husband of Giovanna (nee Gizzi) for 60 years. Loving father of Victor (Emilia, 2000), and Marina (Frank, 2006) Cardo. Dearest grandfather of Stephanie (Pino) Fratangelo, Elly (Michael) Radowsky, Michael (Kim) Di Vincenzo and Amy-Marie Di Vincenzo. Great grandfather of Noah , Hailey, Nicholas and Alex. Brother-in-law of Petronella and Bernardino Pelligrini of Hamilton. Pete will be missed by his nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, two brothers and a sister. Pete was a long time parishioner of St. Alfred's Church and a member of Club Roma. He also survived the Second World War where he was a Veteran of the Alpine Corp. The family would like to thank Mrs. Victoria Grano a great friend always giving her time to visit with our parents, as well as Dr. J. A. Paolone and Fr. Andy Goodwin and Rev. Doug Jones for their spiritual guidance. Pietro is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton St. until Friday at 10:30 am. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine St., on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 11:00 am. Entombment to follow service at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 25 from 7-9 pm and on Thursday from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Vigil prayers will be offered in the funeral home Thursday afternoon at 3:30 pm. If desired, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to the Sick Children's Hospital.
