Obituary of Rena D'Amelio
D'Amelio, Rena: Suddenly on Sunday, April 5, 2009, at the St. Catharines General Hospital in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Frank for almost 55 years. Loving mother of Linda (Stan) Moore, and Nick (Colleen) D'Amelio. Cherished grandma of Jessica, Sabrina, and Natalie. She is survived by sisters Mary (Victor) Pupo, Ida (Late David) DeSimone, Ramona (Late Joseph) Scrivani, Julia (Joseph) Serianni, brother Raymond (Madeline) Ravazzolo, sister in law Dorothy Ravazzolo, Phyllis (Late William) Felice, Antonette (Leo) Rossetto, Danny (Tina) D'Amelio, Lena (Wes) Kis, Rosalie (Rocky) Daddario, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother Louis Ravazzolo. An active partner and on the board of directors, with husband Frank, in their business Peninsula Collision Service Ltd. Also a member of the Welland Seniors Friendly Club.
Rena is resting at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines, Visitations are on Tuesday, April 7, 2009 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Denis Church on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 11 a.m. Vigil prayers will be said at 2 p.m. on Tuesday. Memorial remembrances can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
