Obituary of Janina Sloma

SLOMA, Janina (nee Baran) Passed away peacefully in her 87th year at Chateau Gardens , Niagara on the Lake, on Good Friday, April 10, 2009 . Cherished mother of James and his wife Christine of Brights Grove. Beloved Babcia of Dr. Katie Sloma of Middleton, Nova Scotia and Amy Sloma and her husband Robert McLean of Victoria, British Columbia. Much loved Pra Babcia to Angus James McLean. Predeceased by her husband Kazimierz (1985) in St. Catharines, and siblings Julia, Mary and Brunislaw, in Poland. Special thanks to all staff of Chateau Gardens Niagara, especially Deb and Eva. Janina's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Thursday, April 16th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5 Oblate Street, on Friday, April 17th at 11am. Rite of Committal to follow Victoria Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.
