KIELBA, Lena
After a brave and lengthy struggle with Alzheimers, our beloved Mom and Baba was passed into the arms of Jesus while surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, May 20th at the Linhaven Home for the Aged at the age of 83.
Predeceased by her beloved husband Andrew and her dear parents Harry and Justyna Yaskiw. Dear mother of Josephine Krysa of Thunder Bay, Andy of St. Catharines, and Terri Kitching (Ian Zhiha) of St. Catharines. Loving Baba of Andrew Krysa (Ted) of Vancouver and Dayna Sherry (Rob) of St. Catharines and great grandmother of Jak Sherry. Also survived by her loving family in Sweden- brother in law Walter Kielba (Berith), niece Susanne Kielba and great nieces Sofia and Olivia.
Lena was guided by her faith and was a devoted member of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her dedication to family and her love of gardening.
Mrs. Kielba's family will receive visitors at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Friday, May 22nd from 7-9pm. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in Sts. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church, on Saturday, May 23rd at 10am . Rite of Committal to follow at Victoria Lawn Cemetery. Panachyda will be recited in the funeral home on Friday at 7:30pm. If desired, memorial donations to the Alzheimers Society would be appreciated by the family.
