Obituary of Pietro DiBiasi

DiBiasi, Pietro (born September 23,1919) - Passed away with his loving daughter Giuseppina and granddaughter Angela by his side on Thursday, June 18th, 2009 at the Hotel Dieu- Shaver Hospital at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Vincenza. Cherished father of Giuseppina (the late Michael) Tota. Special Nonno to the late Giulio and the late Peter Tota and Angela (Leo) Aita. Great grandfather to Selena and Michael Aita whom he loved very much. Pietro is predeceased by his parents Giuseppe and Coronata DiBiasi. Loving brother to 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Predeceased by his loving in-laws Franco and Alessandra Troiano. Pietro will be sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. He was a very hard worker who was employed for many years at Port Weller Dry Docks. Pietro is resting at the GEORGE DARTE FUNERAL CHAPEL, 585 Carlton Street. The family will receive visitors on Saturday from 7-9p.m. and Sunday from 2-4p.m & 7-9p.m. Vigil Prayers will take place on Sunday at 3p.m. in the funeral home. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at St. Alfred's Church, 272 Vine Street on Monday at 9:30a.m. Rite of Committal at Victoria Lawn Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be appreciated by the family. A special thank you to the entire staff at the Hotel Dieu-Shaver Hospital and his nephew Frank Pennacchio for their care and compassion.
