Obituary of Philip Huckla
Huckla, Philip Paul: On June 28th, 2009 after a courageous and long battle with Alzheimers, our Dad was taken from us, to enter eternal life with Jesus.
Dad was predeceased by his loving wife Marjorie on June 3, 1994, after enjoying 50 wonderful years of marriage together. Dear father to Dave and Marianna, Lori and Bruce Cullen, Phil Jr., Ron and Nancy, all of St. Catharines.
He was special Papa to Dean, Chris, Julie, Lynn, David, Becky, Christian, Mackenzie, Ryan, and Shawn. Known as Papa #2 to Marissa, Ryan, Tyler, Landon, Jenna, Justin, Clare and Julia. Special friend to Cylvia Powell. Survived by sister Estelle Gerrand in British Columbia. Dad will be remembered for his wonderful smile and outgoing personality and was liked by everyone who would meet him. Dad worked for 34 years at the C.N.R. Dad was also a veteran, who served his country in the navy during the war. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all the staff at the Henley House, for their wonderful care.
Family will recieve friends at the George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton St. St. Catharines, Thursday July 2, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. the service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Friday July 3, 2009 at 11:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Alzheimers Society.
