In my mind, there are so many memories, so many experiences, so many laughs that I hesitate to settle upon any one specific remembrance of Justin; may it suffice to say that he has had a great effect on many lives, and that I am fortunate to be able to consider myself - in a small way - as affected by that great effect.

To the Schaven Family:
I would just like to express my deepest condolences for your loss. I only knew Justin for one year when he was my housemate in Hamilton from 2007 to 2008. He was always smiling and seemed to be a genuinely happy person, who was full of life and energy. On a number of occasions we would sit in the living room of our house and watch hockey (although not being a Penguins fan we would not cheering together), something I look back on very fondly (except for his Penguins beating my Senators in the playoffs last year). His presence in the house was always very relaxing as he got along well with everyone, not to mention how sociable he was. His zest for life and his positive outlook (or at least his ability to smile regardless of the situation) was something that I always admired.
It was a pleasure to know him and live with him, and although his passing is very tragic, I feel honored to have known such a stand-up guy. Please know that my thoughts are with him and you at this time.
With all sympathy,
Eric Roloff
(housemate from 36 Cline Avenue North in Hamilton, 2007 - 2008)

Grant I am so sorry about what has happened to Justin. I'm giving my condolences, but I can't even put into prospective how you must feel. I know your children meant everything to you. Your one of the few people I know that talked so much with such positiveness about there children. Grant I'm sorry I can't come Saturday to pay my respects, but I'll be doing your favorite past time and that is going up north. Once again Grant as a parent and a friend I give my condolence's
